NEW WOMEN'S CLUB.
The usual weekly luncheon of the New Women's Club was hold yesterday the president, Mrs. W. B. Darlow. welcoming a number of members and friends. The speaker of the day was Mr. E. Aldridge, whoso topic was a biographical the life of Sir George Grey, the great pro-Consul of the Victorian era. The speaker reviewed the salient features of Sir George Grey's career, emphasising the -highlights of his activities as explorer, soldier, legislator and administrator. At the conclusion ol the lecture the speaker was accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
