POSSIBLE OLYMPIC WRESTLER.
Seeing that a wrestler is likely to represent Australia in the Olympic Games next year, there's been a lot of barney in recent weeks as to who will get tlie possy, states Sydney "Sportsman." As winner of the heavy-weight division of the recent Australian championships, Eddie Scarf no doubt has an advantage over the others. But the supporters of Jack Knight point out .that their man has a recent win over Scarf, and as their matches weren't under Olympic conditions, neither was a fair trial for selection. It is contended that both Scarf and Knight should meet under Olympic conditions, and that the winner be the representative. It has also been suggested that the contest be staged on the bill of one of the stadiums, and the management contribute a certain sum towards the Olympic funds. Before such a happening can take place, official sanction must be obtained. Every effort is likely to be made to have the match arranged.
