CRICKET.

M.C.C. V. VICTORIA. MELBOURNE, November 15. Rain seriously interrupted play on the first clay of the cricket match between Victoria and Marylebone, and there was only 45 minutes' play all day. Neither the batsmen nor the bowlers wore given an opportunity of showing wliat they can do. Victoria batted first and made 30 for one wicket. Lee was just getting warmed up when he skied a ball which was caught. Among the bowlers Holmes seems likely to trouble the batsmen most. Scores:— VICTORIA.—First Innings. Led, c Smith, b Holmes 4 Rigg, not out 17 Vernon, not out V Extras ~ Total for one wicket 30
