AMBULANCE WORK.
ANNUAL INSPECTION HELD. The annual inspection of the Auckland St. John Ambulance Division was held on Thursday, when 75 members, including 25 cadets, paraded under Divisional Superintendent H. N. Allport. The inspection was conducted by Commissioner C. J. Tunks, who was accompanied by the Mayor, vMr. Ernest Davis, and district and corps officers. On the completion of the inspection, Mr. Davis briefly addressed the members, complimenting them on their appearance and thanking them on behalf of the citizens of Auckland for the services rendered by them to the community. After the commissioner had addressed the division, demonstrations of practical woik were given, which showed that the standard of efficiency had been well maintained. Tn the course of his remarks, the commissioner reminded the division of t'.:e approaching visit of the chief commissioner of the brigade overseas, Colonel J. L. Sleeman, C.M.G., C.8.E., M.V.0., early in the New Year, when a combined parade would be held.
