(By Tclcjrraph.—Press Association.) DTJNEDIN, this day. In the Police Court this morning Cecily Fitzmaurice, aged 35, was charged with the attempted murder of her child at Oamaru on September 10. Accused was found in bed with her three children. -Two of the children were in a weak etnto, and the baby, which was clasped, in her arms, was dead. Accused herself wae in a very low condition, and hardly able to utter a word. Her husband was working at Hillgrove at the time and neighbours became anxious when they saw nothing of Mrs. Fitzmaurice. When they investigated they found the doors locked, and entry was made through a window. Accused was remanded for a week.
