PROBLEM CLUB.
Au enjoyable afternoon meeting was held in the Penwomen's rooms, the president, Mrs. von Stunner, J.P., presiding. Professor Lancaster gave a most interesting and instructive talk on glimpses of New Zealand plants at home and abroad, illustrated with lantern shots. Miss Mina Caldow delighted members with two songs, "Not Understood" and "Birthday," and Miss Edna Craig and Mrs. Jock Allen acted a charm, ing little comedy, "The Sporting Mother--in-law." Mrs. Nello Porter gave a dainty rendering of Swiss folk songs, while Mrs. Jock Allen recited "The Empty House." Afternoon tea was served by the committee, Mesdames Munns, Beechey, Cassidy and Douglas. Mesdames Esther and Lees Brown were in charge of the rooms.
