United Press Association.—Copyright.—Eec. 1.30 p.m. LONDON, November 11. , A R Asmara message states that Italian troops recovered the •M / l^e gooc * s l° otec l by the Abyssinians from Gugsa's house in Makalle, a quantity of which was recaptured from a caravan near Betmariam, whose 50 guards were routed by the Italian native levies. The attack was the result of smart work by a reconnaissance aeroplane. The aviator sent a message by parachute to an Askari column disclosing the whereabouts of the looters. The Askaris wade forced marches by night and intercepted the caravan, whose defenders, though they had entrenched themselves in the hillside, were shaken by a bayonet charge and routed by a second rush «om a reserve line. The Abyssinians lost 20 killed and 10* prisoners, also 300 camels laden with agricultural goods and other supplies.
