SEQUEL TO HOTEL FIRE
MAN CHARGED WITH ARSON. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERS TON NORTH, Monday. Edwin Walter Barringer, described as an armature winder, aged 40, appeared before the magistrate to-day charged with wilfully damaging a motor car valued at £200 on or about September 11, 1930; also on or alxmt May 8 last with committing arson by wilfully setting fire to the Makotuku HoteL A remand was granted. The accused was arrested in Hamilton, where he was in business. Barringer makes the fourth man held by the Palmerston North police on arson charges.
