TIME GETTING SHORT.

CHRISTMAS OVERSEAS MAIL. With every day the time in which mail can be posted to reach London before Christmas becomes less. Yesterday the Akaroa, due at London on December llj sailed from Auckland, her mail closing at 3 p.m. However, for those who mfssed this mail there is opportunity in the sailing of the Lurline from Auckland on the 10th, via San Francisco. Her mail is due in London also on December 11. The Port Chalmers, which sails from this port to London direct on November 14, is not due at London until December 17. As usual there has been a heavy demand on "Brett's Christmas Annual" for overseas posting, and those who desire to take advantage of the splendid gift that the annual offers are advised to purchase their copies immediately. The annual is a most attractive publication, telling in picture the story of the beauties of this Dominion and conveying at once a message of greeting and an invitation.
