Dear Sunbeams, — Oh, dear me, this has been such an exciting week for the Budget family. First of all we were kept so mystified with Peter Pan flying here and there, setting us all guessing—and then, when he saw we could wait no longer, he told us his secret. And what a perfectly splendid secret it is, sunbeams! However he managed to keep it all to himself for so long Ido not know. But now everyone in Budgetland is talking of it and wondering just how many families our readers will be able to provide with a Christmas dinner. Do you think it will be fifty, or a hundred, or, perhaps—just think of it! — one hundred and fifty? Anyway the secret is out at last, and I hope you will now one and all follow the example of Tink. and the Croc, who, since Peter Pan's announcement, have beeo hiding in their corner with pencil and paper, trying their hardest to think out a very special plan to help. Will Tink. and the Croc, think of the best idea first or will it be one of the sunbeams? I think that the most help will come from one of my own girls—but don't tell that AudL*^ toTink, . I^Lt^S^ Best of luck to you all in the new scheme.
