MRS. H. P. WASHBOURN. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NELSON, Thursday. f [ The death has occurred of Mrs. H. P r Washbourn, a very widely respected resident of Nelson since the. earlirt days of the settlement.. Dr. H. E. ± Washbourn (Nelson) and Mr. F. VVasbbourn, Timaru, are sons. Another .son was Dr. H. O. Washbourn. of Richmond who died a few years ago. MR. THOMAS H. JOHNSON. (By Telc^rraph.—Own Correspondent.) - KOHUKOHU, Thursday The death has occurred at Raw' of Mr. Thomas Henry Johnson, aged H 7 of Ilnkianga. He was the oldest met . ber of the Buffalo Lodge in New ! land. He arrived in the Dominion ' 1 ;:, 1010 and had resided in Rawene fc 20 years. Mr. Johnson was a mem'of the Rawene Town Board and took •§? keen interest in the development of jj district. He is survived by his wifeMR. H. N. MADDOX. Owen, of Auckland. .Mr. Maddox was a prominent mei" of tlio Auckland Chess Club, belD <>~ champion of the club and an Auc delegate to the Dominion Congrcs . will also be remembered in tennisi as an outstanding player.
