PAPAKURA. Mrs. Abbis presided at the annual meeting of tlio Papakura branch of the Women's Christian Temperance Union, and Mrs. G. M. Yule conducted the devotional exercises. The treasurer's report showed a satisfactory financial position. Mrs. Abbis was re-elected, president and. Miss Margaret Cooper secretary and treasurer. Rev. G. M. Yule delivered an address and congratulated the members on what they had accomplished.
