FLOOD DAMAGE.
REPAIRS NOT EFFECTED.
CRITICISM AT WHANGAREI. 'By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. The delay on the part of the authority in making good the damage done to the Waipu Cove-Mangawai Road by the floods early in the year was the subject of criticism at a meeting of the Whangarei Chamber of Commerce last night. The president, Mr. C. V. Stringer, said that practically nothing had been done to the road, and he thought that It was up to the chamber to push the matter.
Air. J. Burfoot said the road was dangerous and was the only break in the East Coast Road. It was decided to ask the responsible authority and the A.A. to push the work on.-
