AORANGI SPICK AND SPAN.
liONG OVERHAUL COMJPXJETED,
When the Canadian-Australasian motor liner Aorangi arrives here on Monday to resume her run to Vancouver, via Fiji and Honolulu she will be a very spick and span vessel, as for the past two months she has been undergoing her annual overhaul.
This "spring-cleaning" has effected a complete transformation of the C deck first-class accommodation, which has lessened the ship's passenger capacity to allow for more spacious cabins. Formerly there were 92 cabins providing accommodation for 182 passengers on this deck, now there are 56 roomy cabins accommodating 91 passengers. Twenty-three of these cabins are furnished for two passengers, and 19 for one passenger, while there are 12 special two-berth and two special one-berth rooms, each with private bathroom.
In the matter of cabin decorations and furnishings everything to delight the most discriminating traveller has been thought of. Delicate pastel shades of green or biscuit blend with the furnishings. Large bedsteads are the fashion now and all the rooms contain a Queensland maple bedstead of ample dimensions, a dressing and writing table, a radiator and hot and cold running water. Capacious wardrobes, reading lamps of latest design and special non-dazzle strip lights over the mirrors of the dressing tables are also provided.
