MODEL YACHTING.

ORAKEI BASIN CLUB. The Orakci Basin Model Yacht Club held its second raccs of the season on Saturday. There was a light but steady breeze from the south, which gave the boats a fair test both on and off the wind. During the afternoon refreshments were served by the ladies' committee. All races were closely contested, seconds separating some of the leaders, and a dead-heat occurred in one race. The boys* races were very well sailed, over a dozen competing in each race. Results: — Three-footers.—Miss Orakei (Roy McKay) 30s, 1 ; Emerald. 4m, 2; lorangi 30s. 3. Won by a few lengths. Four-footers. —Renown (X Buckland) lm, 1; Rainbow im, 2 ; Eileen 3m, 3. Another good finish. General Handicap.—Rainbow (J. Davies) 4}m, 1: Miss Orakei, 4ni, 2; Renown, ser, 3. The first two boats were almost together. Boys' Races.—First race: Golden Bubble 1. Victory 2, Thelma 3. Second race: Blue Streak 1, Parahu'ma 2. Golden Bubble 3. Third race: Loyola and Fame deadheat, 1.

MANUKAU CLUB.

The Mnnuknu Senior Model Yacht Club held the opening races of the season on Saturday afternoon at Mill Bay, Onehunga. There was a good sailing breeze from the sou'-west, and all . the boats had a pood test on and off theiwind. The events were witnessed by a number of club members and others interested in the sport. Results First General Handicap.—Linda 1, Kauri 111. 2. Kauri IT. 3. Second Handicap.—Linda 1, Kauri 11. 2, Kauri 111. 3. The next races will be held on November IG. ======
