PARNELL TENNIS.
The Parnell Lawn Tennis Club (which is the oldest in Auckland) officially opened its 04th season at a social afternoon in the club pavilion. The president, Mr. J. H. Reyburn, and Mrs. Keyburn welcomed members and friends. The president made pleasing reference to the presence of Miss Mowbray, who was the oldest living member of the club. He commented upon the splendid condition of the courts and anticipated a successful season. Mr. Percy Harrison, president of the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association, addressed the gathering, congratulating the club upon reaching its 04th birthday and upon its past achievements. The courts were formally declared open after Mrs. Reyburn served the first, ball of the season over the net. Among those present were: Mesdames J. H. Reyburn, D. D., Vickerman, S. Tong, J.
