VIENNESE BOYS' CHOIR.
"The musicianship of these boys was astonishing," wrote a Melbourne critic of the Viennese Boys' Choir. 'They sang classical motets of the sixteenth century, operetta, arrangements of folk songs, and Johann Strauss' 'Blue Danube' waltz, and they were always impelled by the style of the music. Their clear, smooth, voiceswere never forced, and their tones couldbe shaded down to the softest degree without losing quality. Refinement of feeling and polish characterised all that they did. The wonderful pianissimo. singing was an object lesson, and one of the most beautiful examples was in Brahms' 'Slumber Song,' given after the completion of the set programme."
Arriving on November 6, the choir will begin one of the most . comprehensive tours mapped out by Messrs. J. and N. Tait. They will commence their season at His Majesty's Theatre.
