TALLOW, HEMP, EGGS. HIGH COMMISSIONER'S CABLE. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated October 19, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London:— Tallow.—Market firm, with quotations slightly higher for mutton, fine. Hemp.—Manila: Market quieter and slightly weaker; trade demand poor. "K" grade for October-December shipment quoted sellers at £27. Sisal: Market quiet and somewhat easier. No. 1 grade for October-December and January-March shipments quoted sellers at £27. New Zealand: Moderate inquiry, but small business has been done. "Fair" grade, £21; rejected, £18 10/. Eggs.—Market firmer; prices have advanced. English. National rack. 16/6 to 21/; English, ordinary pack, 16/ to 17/; Danish, 13/ to 15/; Australian, 11/6 to 13/6.
