DOUBLE TRAGEDY.
Woman Found Dead After Escape from Hospital.
HUSBAND TAKES OWN LIFE. (Received 9.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The body of Mrs. Daisy James, 28, mother of five children and living in the coalfields district of Kurri Kurri, was found in an isolated spot two miles from the local hospital yesterday. A handkerchief was tied tightly round her neck. She escaped from hospital last Friday by leaping from a balcony, and since then her husband and a number of fellow miners had been searching for her.
After the discovery of the body the grief-stricken husband went home and shot himself dead.
