TO DAY IN CHRISTCHURCH. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") CHRISTCHURCH, this day. There was a belter volume of trade on 'Change to-day. Fifteen sales were completed. The Government section was neglected. A good list of municipal debentures was offered. In the banking sectioß Commercials were again on the sales list at 16/8, and market closing a penny either way. New South Wales had a firm buyer at £3i 17/6, but no response. Reserves were slightly easier, buyers £6 7/6, sellers £6 8/. In insurances New Zealands were more in evidence, buyers £3 2/3, sellers £3 4/3, while Standards showed an. improvement with buyers at £3 5/ and sellers retiring at £3 11/9. Mortgage Corporations were slightly easier from 5/4 to 5/1. New Zealand Refrigerating (con.) had another' advance of Id with a sale at 10/9 and further buyers at that figure, sellers Id higher. New Zealand Breweries, after being off the sales list for some days, had buyers at £2 11/4, sellers £2 12/5. Tooth's made Od on yesterday's sales with business at £2 17/3, closing with buyers £2 17/1, sellers £2 17/6. Broken Hill Proprietary, "rights, were active, seven parcels changing hands, beginning at 19/9 and advancing to £1. The market closed: Buyers £1, sellers A-l 1/. In the mining section there were only two sales in overseas stocks. These were Mount Lyells and Rawang Tin. King Solomons showed an improvement, with buyers at without response. Skippers were fractionally better at 2d and 2%d. '
