CESTOLDI BEATS ANDRESEN, N.Z. AMATEUR TITLES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Eight rounds of fast and entertaining wrestling last' night ended with Angelo Cestoldi limp and face downward on the mat but with, the referee raising one o£ his Lands in token of victory. Cestoldi had gained a fall over Ole Andresen iu the sixth round, and in the last withstood a full-leg nelson for some minutes till saved by the gong. The finals for the New Zealand amateur wrestling titles, competed for last nigh^ resulted: — _____ Feather-weiglit.—R. W. Hutchison (Wellington) beat J. S. Genet (Canterbury) on pointeLightweight.—Hutchison beat Genet by one fall. Welter-weight.—V. L. Thomas (Canterbury) beat V. Rawle (Auckland) on points. . Middle-weight.—J. McDonald (Auckland) beat H. Wilson (Otago) by one fall. „ Light-heavy-weiglit. — H. Bartlett (Wanganui) beat Coughlan (Otago) on points. Heavy-weight. —G. Harris (Taranaki) beat Coughlan. . . BLOMFIELD V. JAGET SINGH, (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGANUI, this day. A wrestling match last night between Lofty Blomfield, 16.5 (New Zealand) and Jaget Singh, 16.0 (India), resulted in a draw. Singh gained a fall in the third round with his famous Indian death lock, and Blomfield obtained a fall in the seventh round with a sharply applied body press following a series of buttings. Tli'e bout was entertaining. LABOUR DAY EVENT. On the evening of Labour Day at tlic Town Hall a bout under the auspices of the Auckland Wrestling Association will be staged between Lofty Blomfield and the Italian matman Cestoldi, both of whom have figured in exciting matches of recent weeks. Cestoldi is a colourful performer, and as the pair have not yet met they yet have to decide which is the better iinan.
