BIRKENHEAD CANTATA.
The choir and friends of All Saints' Church, Birkenhead, gave a musical rendering of A. R. Gauls devotional cantata, "The Holy City." The nicely balanced choir, though small, was heard to advantage in the chorus work. The Mokw were effectively sung bv Mrs. E. Wallis. soprano; Miss Winifred Johnson, contralto; Mr. Lan Burry, tenor, and Mr. A. J. W. Hodder, bass. Mrs. T. Joll at the nianoforte joined with the organ in the dual portion of the cantata. Mr. R. B. Bickerton wa6 organist and choirmaster.
