WORK AT TE RAPA. WAIKATO HUNT CANDIDATES. BOVGHAL SPRINTS WELL. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") HAMILTON, this day. The course proper, with the poles 45ft out, was available for fast work at Te Rapa this morning. Illuminagh (Muir) was schooled over a couple of hurdles along the back, and shaped well. Diaccuedoon completed hail a mile in 565. Dust Up and Golden Jubilee ran live furlongs in 1.9, the last half-mile in 565. An encouraging effort was credited to Sweet Lap ami Polly Douglas, who were timed to come home from the live-furlong post in 1.7 1-5. Little Leslie jumped off several lengths in front of Silver Brier at the six-furlong post aud was picked up at the live by Lia Femme Noire. They came home in 1.21 1-5, tile last five furlongs being negotiated in 1.7. L'Allogro shaped well in accounting for Taniwharau over seven furlongs in 1.36. Star Artist and Light Comedy were on terms at the completion of six lui'longs in 1.25. King Rey came home from the livefurlong peg in 1.9. It has not yet been decided whether he will make the trip south for the New Zealand Cup meeting. Carshalton and Holmefcll were associated over a round in 2.9, the first half-mile in 565. Bouglial was responsible for the best effort of the morning over six furlongs, taking 1.18%, the first furlong in 12s and the last five in I.GM. Orac was not doing his best to clock 1.9 over live furlongs on the plough. He could have improved on the time. Flit Acre and Leo Colossus were on terms at the end of five furlongs in 1.8. Flit Acre, who is now located in F. J. Tutchen's stable, was moving freely throughout. Curlew was in front of Folly's Choice on the completion of a circuit in 2.12, the first halfmile in 58s.
Among those allotted useful tasks on the plough were Sinking Fund, Whirling, Jan Ridd, Du Barry and Illuminagh.
