A PROBABLE HITCH.
A report in the Fiji "Times and Herald " I «£ £ e L tem 5 er 27 ' rela tlve to the discus-' sion of the Suva Cricket Club on a proposal that a cricket team should visit Fiji during the forthcoming season, refers to advice received that the Auckland Cricket! Association could not grant Mr H C ' Beale authority to proceed in the arraa cement, as a prior application had been made in October, 1934, by Mr. E. E. Nalder, who was awaiting a reply from Fiji. A subcommittee of the Suva Cricket Club reported on this: "We immediately wrote on August 29 to the Auckland Cricket Association asking them to give the requested authority, pointing out that Mr. Nalder had not been ' in communication with either of the governing bodies of cricket in Fiji, the Xort'aern Districts Cricket Association and the Suva Cricket Club, and that negotiations between Mr. Beale and ourselves had progressed to i' an advanced stage." l<
