WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia ana Hamilton:— Moderate east winds, backing +o north-easterly and freshening, with the weather fine and becoming warmer, but gradually clouding over and later ra;r> developing. Seas smooth to moderate. An anti-cyclone covers the Eastern Tasman Sea and New Zealand, but an intense depression lies over the Western Tasman. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from. Tiritiri Island at noon to day: Wind, i>north-east, moderate to fresh; sea, moderate; weather, fine wita scattered clouds; visibility, good; barometer, steady.
