NIAGARA OMITS AUCKLAND.
RANGITIKI DUE TO-MORROW. The Canadian - Australasian liner Niagara, which was delayed at Sydney for nine days, due to trouble with some of her crew, left Sydey at 7 p.m. on Saturday for Vancouver, via Suva, omitting Auckland this trip. In the ordinary course she would have been here last Monday, sailing for Suva next day, and was due at Vancouver on November 1. She will now be six days late in arriving there, and may pick up her original time-table if no further trouble occurs. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Rangitiki will arrive from London at midnight tomorrow, and anchors until daylight. She brings 2(it> passengers, a large mail and general cargo.
Fordsdale completes loading to-morrow for London, and sails at 4 p.m. for Port Chalmers to take on board some stud sheep for Falkland Islands. (L.D.N.) Canadian Conqueror, which arrived from Montreal on Friday, left at 3.35 p.m. on Saturday for Wellington. (C.N.S.) Mariposa resumed her to San Francisco, via Suva, Pago Pago, Honolulu and Los Angeles, at 4.40 on Saturday. She is due at San Francisco on November 4. (H. and'M.) Lurline, which left San Francisco for Auckland on Tuesday last, was delayed one day at Los Angeles. UNION COMPANY STEAMERS. Waimarino left Dunedin at 12.30 p.m. on Saturday for Bluff. She leaves there at 10 p.m. to-day for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. Wingatul proceeds to Portland to-morrow evening, returning here on Thursday, and Sails Oil Friday for Wellington, Picton, Lyttelton,- Dunedin, Oamaru and Timaru. Karepo left Westport at 3 a.m. on Saturday for Auckland. She will discharge at Chelsea. Waljpiata loads at Bluff on Thursday and Dunedin on Saturday for Auckland, via Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington. Kowhai left Melbourne on the 10th Inst, for Auckland. CITY OF BAGDAD. The City of Bagdad sailed from New York on October 9, and from Newport News three days later for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Australian ports. She is due here about November 10. THE KING MALCOLM. Dalgety and Company, Limited, has received advice that the King Malcolm is due from Tampico on October 26. She has a cargo of asphalt for discharge at Auckland and Southern ports. . JAPANESE WHALING FLEET. . Five Japanese fishing vessels, bound for the south, where they will engage in the whaling industry, arrived at Thursday Island on October 8 for a supply of water.
