TASMAN FLYER.
RETURNING NEXT MONTH ? DOMINION FLIGHT PLANNED. Plans to make a return flight to Australia some time next month are being made by Mr. W. M. O'Hara, the young New Zealand airman, who flew from Gerringong Beach, New South Wales, to Mangere aerodrome, Auckland, last Friday. He hopes to fly back to Australia when the moon is full—on November 11. In the meantime, he will undertake a flight through the Dominion. A former resident of Java gave a luncheon at his home in honour of the airman yesterday when Captain F. Bauer, acting-Consul for the Netherlands, was a guest. Before Mr. O'Hara left Sydney he was given a Dutch flag by members of the Dutch community and he handed this to Captain Bauer with the beet wishes of the senders.
Over 500 messages of congratulation have been received by Mr. O'Hara, who said that while he could not reply personally to all of them, he wanted his well-wishers to know how grateful he was. On Saturday night, Mr. O'Hara received the congratulations of war-time comrades when he attended the annual reunion in Auckland of the New Zealand Machine Gunners (Vickcrs) Association. He will leave for his mother's home at Warkworth to-day and will return to Auckland on Thursday.
