ERADICATION OF GORSE.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ASHBURTON", Monday. Representatives of 20 county councils and other interested bodies in Canterbury, at a conference to consider a plan for the eradication of gorse by the planting of pinus radiata, resolved to urge 011 the Government the necessity for the control and eradication of gorse, particularly on the poorer lands along the Canterbury foothills. A sub-com-mittee was appointed to formulate a scheme.
