At the meeting of the management committee of the Auckland Rugby Union last evening letters were received from the Otago and Wellington Unions expressing appreciation for hospitality extended to their teams while in Auckland recently. F. D. Kilby also wrote, thanking the union for the presentation made to him at Eden Park at the conclusion of the Auckland and Wellington fixture. It was decided to charge 1/ for admission to Western Springs Stadium on Saturday. Advice was received from the University Club that owing to the proximity of examinations it was found necessary to withdraw its senior team from the competition. . . Members stood in silence as a mark or respect to the memory of the late Mr. J. Henderson, a well-known New South Wales administrator and former resident of New Zealand. The action of the emergency committee in cancelling Saturday's fixture with the North Auckland Maori team was confirmed. , , .... The entertainment of the visiting Thames Valley junior representative team was delegated to Messrs. A. Tilly and Craig.
