TO-DAY IN CHRISTCHURCH. DEALINGS LIVELIER. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Dealings were again livelier, the miscellaneous section recording most business. Mining was very dull. Commercials sold freely at 16/2, with preferences a shade stronger. Buyers were 6d up, at £9 10/ G. New Zealands improved a little, with sellers at £2 10/2. Though there were only two quotations, insurances were slightly firmer. South British (cum div.) v/ere wanted at £4 7/6, with no sellers. Dalgety's seemed low in view of the rcccnt higher prices in Australia, and the good clearances there. Breweries again slipped to £2 0/4 and £2 9/, but Tooth's improved with a sale and buyers at £2 14/. Anthony Horderns were active at 18/3, the market closing Id either side.
