AUCKLAND CHAPTER MEETS. The Auckland chapter of the New Zealand Institute of Secretaries held a luncheon meeting this afternoon in Milne and Choyce's reception ha:'. There was a good attendance, Mr. W. F. O'Donnell presiding. The speaker was Mr. D. L. Bone, LL.M., who spoke on "Some Legal Aspects of the Secretary's Duties.'' Mr. Bone defined some of the limits of a secretary's powers, drawing attention to legal points often transgressed. The Hon. G. J. Garland, in proposing a vote of thanks to the speaker, welcomed Mr. Grey Campbell, past president of the Auckland branch of the Accountants' Society.
