Owing to the illness of the Duke of Buccleuch, Lady Alice Scott will be given away by her brother, the Earl of Dalkeith, who is a great friend of the Duke of Gloucester. The wedding will be at 11.30 a.m. on November 0 in Westminster Abbey. It will be preceded by three processions, the first with Their Majesties, accompanied by an escort of Household Cavalry, the second, the Duke of Gloucester with a similar escort, and the third, the bride, from her residence in Grosvenor Place.
Afterwards the couple will go to tlie Palace via The Mall, Piccadilly, and Constitution Hill.
In connection with the wedding an announcement from Buckingham Palace states that the King and Queen will give an evening party on November 4 at Buckingham Palace, and an afternoon party on November 5 at St. James' Palace.
It is expected that the parties will follow the lines of those that preceded the wedding of the Duke of Kent. Probably between 1500 and 2000 guests will be invited.
