A message from Cheyenne (Wyoming) states that nine passengers, a pilot, co-pilot ancl stewardess were killed early this morning when a United Air Lines»mail 'plane crashed 15 miles west of Cheyenne. No fire occurred and the cause has not yet been determined. The machine was bound from Oakland (Calif.) to New York. Following is a li*t of major aeroplane tragedies in the United States: — September, 1028. —Air liner crashed near Pocatello, Idaho (seven killed). March, 1929.—Colonial Airways' machine crashed at Newark, New Jersey (14 killed). September, 3929.—Air liner crashed in New Mexico (eight killed). January, 1930. —Air liner burst into flames at Oceanside, California (16 killed). March, 1931.—Airmail 'plane crashed in flames in Kansas (10 killed). August, 1931—Air liner crashed in Ohio (six killed). November, 1931.—Washington air liner crashed in landing (five killed).
January, 1932.—Air liner wrecked in Xios Angeles mountains (eight killed).
July, 1932. —Pan-American air liner Wrecked near Santa Rosa (10 killed).
June, 1933.—Amphibian . crashed at Chicago World's Fair (10 killed).
October, 1933. —Air liner exploded in mid-air and crashed in Indiana (seven killed).
February, 1934. —Air liner crashed in blizzard near Salt Lake City (eight killed).
June, 1934.—Air liner crashed in Catskill Mountains (seven killed).
May, 1935.—U.5. Naval seaplane crashed in Pacific (six killed).
October, 1935. —Airliner crashed in Wyoming (12 killed).
