PRESENTATION.
WAIMAUKU POSTAL STAFF.
An evening was tendered to Mr. Ron Jenes in the public liall, Waimauku, on Saturday. \ Mr. Jones, who has been on the Post Office staff for eight years, has been transferred to Auckland. Mr. A. Wintour, oil behalf of the residents, presented, Mr. Jones with a wallet containing a cheque. ■ Mr. W. TE. Kedgley, who has been associated with Mr. Jones in the post office, also spoke. Apologies were received from the postmaster, who was unavoidably absent. During the evening vocal items were given by Mrs. J. H. «en., and Mr. T. Charter, and monologues were given by Miss Iris Hutcliings. The dance music was supplied by Mrs. A. Burrell.
