NEW CITY ENGINEER
WELLINGTON APPOINTMENT.

WELLINGTON, Monday.
A member of the Wellington City Council's staff, Mr. Kenneth E. Luke, has been appointed city engineer in succession to Mr. G. Hart, who is to retire next May. Mr. Luke commenced his career with the Wellington City Corporation 28 years ago. Mr. K. R. McKillop, at present water and drainage engineer, has been appointed deputy-city engineer.
