OUR COMPETITION CORNER

I wonder what the dog is watching away there in the shadows? Can you guess? Can you write a story around the scene in the picture? There are two sections in our competition this week, one for juniors 12 years of age and under, and one for readers over 12 and under 18. Both

sections are required to write a short story of not more than 500 words in length based on the picture printed above.

Post your entries to reach Peter Pan, care “Star” Office, Shortland Street, Auckland. There are four half-crown prizes offered in each section.
