ENIGMAS.
(Sent In by Dawn Scott, Herne Bay.) USEFUL. In an Irish village, where the floods were very bad, some thoughtful person nailed a board up on the hedge with the following notice painted upon it: “When this board is under water, this road is impassable.” WHAT AM I? A piece of wood, which must be good. A piece of twine for sure. Folks play with me all day and try To make a good high score. You’ll also find me on the wing When old King Sol doth sink. Yet though I fly and rise so high, I am no bird. So think And see if you can find my name. You’re sure to love this jolly game. If you cannot find me, Look at the answer below. .Answer: Bat.
