Britain’s most famous pawnshop—the Old Nautical House, Limehouse—known to seafarers o£ all nations has closed after 125 years’ business. Behind its shutters, announcing in faded lettering, “The Old Established House for Sextants, Ship Chronometers, Marine Glasses, Guns, Retolvers and Munitions.” lie countless stories of London’s Chinatown secrets and smuggled treasures.
