TUAKAU LADIES’ GUILD.

A card afternoon, arranged by thc Tuakau St. John*Anglican Ladies’ Guild, was held on Wednesday, when there was a large attendance. Mrs. W. A. .Pavitt won the bridge first prize, while the hidden number prize- went to Mrs. D. Hudson. Airs. J. Scott won the 500 prize, while Airs. A. V. Wright carried off the hidden number prize. The vicepresident, Mrs. R. Durrant, thanked the gathering for its attendance, and paid a tribute to the splendid work carried out by Airs. H. J. Woodbridge. v A credit balance was revealed at the annual meeting of the Te Kohanga Cricket Club. Officers were elected as follow: President, Air. G. Edwards; vice-presidents. Alessrs. F. C. S. Lawson, C. Rowe; captain. Air. P. E. Lawson; vice-captain, Air. C. Rowe.
