CLASSIC CLUB.

The twelfth meeting of the Classic Club was held this week. Mr. Varley Hudson was the adjudicator and awarded first place to the programme performed by Miss Gwenda Weir, Mr. James Ramsay and Mr. Alan Pow. There was a large audience' of members and friends and a light supper was served at the conclusion of the evening. The programmes performed by members of the clubs included music by romantic and modern lieder composer?, vocal duets, pianoforte solos, operatic arias, quartets, part songs and song cycles. Those taking part were: Mrs. P. Sholto-Smith, Mrs. Maud Lysaght, Misses Lillian Kennedy, Dorothy Gordon, Beryl Smith, Winifred Hill, Gwenda Weir. Messrs. Henry Donaldson, Leslie Russell. J. T. Gibson, Alan Pow and James Ramsay.
