At the usual weekly sale of Ceylon tea lield at Colombo on the Ist instant, 1,450,000 pounds weight was placed under offer. Quality of all grades was distinctly better, with the result that there was a good demand, the market advancing, generally. Actual price alterations showed an increase of %d per lb on commons, %d per lb on Price 8.0.P.'5, %d per lb on plain 8.0.P.'5, a firm market on first classic broken Pekoes, and %d per lb .increase on fine broken Orange Pekoes. Exchange remained unaltered. Next Week's sale is expected to total 1,000,000 pounds weight.'
