NATIONAL DAFFODIL SHOW
(By Telegraph.—Press Aiifoclatlcn.) DUNEDIN, Wednesday. The National Daffodil Society's show opened in Dunedii* to-day. The most important feature of the national classes was that for British daffodil raisers, a challenge cup being offered for competition among growers of British-raised daffodils. There were four competitors and for the first time the trophy was won by a Dunedin grower, Mr. H. T. Trevena. His collection of varieties included some arrestingly beautiful blooms.
With his Royalist, Mr. Trevena won the champion of champions award. Mr. G. H. Brownlee, of Sawyer's Bay, was second in this class, and Mr. Herbert J. Poole, of Lower Hutt, was third.
