SYSTEM IN DOMINION. SIX THOUSAND IDENTIFIED. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. Over 6300 people have to date been identified by tlie fingerprint system of the New Zealand Police Force, says a section of the annual report to Parliament by the Commissioner, Mr. W. G. Wohlmann. During the year at headquarters the finger-impressions of 2720 persons were received, classified, searched, indexed and filfld. Two hundred persons were identified as previous offenders who, had it not been for the fingerprint system, would have passed as first offenders. Photographs totalling 1645 were taken by the photographers attached to lie criminal registration branch, and 4lu» photographs of 2515 prisoners wero dealt with.
