PEDDLER'S MAGIC

I'm going to be a peddler, And call at people's, doors With things that are not offered At ordinary stores. I'll have a stock of Kindness, That all who wish may try. I'll carry lots of Courage For striving folks; and I Will have some Joy and Gladness That I will gladly share With those who lind thoir burdens A little hard to bear. Of Happy Thoughts to cheer folks, I'll have an ample hoard; And Sympathy and Patience Eight handy will be stored.

Now, if I come a-calling, You must not offer gold, Or I might bo insulted; For such things are not sold. They must be given freely, Not bartered by the pound, For only thus the magic Within them may be found; And when they've, served their purpose, Then you must pass them on To other folks who need them Before the magic's gone.
