A vote of condolence was passed with Mrs. MacKlnlay on the death of her husband, Mr. Arch. M. MacKlnlay, a vicepresident of the club.

The report was of a satisfactory nature and the accounts showed a credit balance.

THAMES ASSOCIATION. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, this day. At (lie annual meeting of the Thames Cricket Association. Mr. G. Price-presid-ing, the report stated that last season play suffered through a number of players having left the district, also the lack of enthusiasm among players and public. The balance-sheet showed a small credit balance.

The officers cleeted were:—Patron, Mr A. M. Samuel, M.P.; president, ill-. M Hoskins; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A C. D. Smith; auditor. Mr. I'. Jensen; management committee, Messrs. A liroken.shire, A. MeLeary. G. Mortimer, W. Lang, J. Anderson. C. Marshall, W. 11, Hoult; selector, Mr. M. Hoskins.

Tributes were paid to the retiring president and the secretary (Mr. F. L. Gibson), neither of whom sought re-election. Mr, Gibson bad been secretary of the association for many years.

During discussion on the question of a ground, delegates stated a number of players would not be available for Rhodes Park, but would play at the High School ground, while public support also would be forthcoming for matches on the latter ground. It was decided to write to the High School Board of Governors asking on what terms the board would grant the use of the ground to the association during the coming season.

]t was unanimously decided to forward a letter of appreciation to Sir. D. Mackay for his untiring efforts in connection with tho preparation of Rhodes Park for last season's matches.

Te Aroha sought a ruling in regard to its right to challenge for the Court Cup. tho holders of which (Hauraki Plains) hail declined tho club's challenge last season. Tho secretary stated that To Aroha was eligible to play for the cup under the rules, and it was decided to notify the club and tho Hauraki Plains Association accordingly.

PORT ALBERT CLUB. The following officers wore elected nt the annual meetinc of the Port Albert Cricket Club:—President, Mr. W. IC. Pecroft: secretary, Mr. R. P. Gnbh; selection committee, Messrs. H. P. Gubb, K. Moore, I>. J. Hutchison.

Owing to the number of new players being available, it is hoped to enter A and B grade teams in the Rodney West Coast Association's competitions.

SOUTHLAND COACH. INVEItCARGTT/L, Tuesday. The management committee of the Southland Cricket Association has re-appointed IV. R. Patrick as eoach to tlie association for a further three years.
