TO-DAY'S WEDDING.

BROWN DOUGLAS—WALLER. A SETTING OF LILIES. One of tlio prettiest weddings seen in Auckland for some timo took place at St. Mark's Church this afternoon when Miss Rosemary Waller, younger daughter of Mrs. Fred Waller, of Maurice Avenue, liemuera, was married to Mr. Archibald Graham Brown Douglas, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Brown Douglas, of Redhill, Surrey, England. The Rev. P. Houghton officiated. The church was beautifully decorated by girl friends of the bride with arum lilies and in this setting the bride came down the aisle on the arm of her uncle, Mr. Sidney Thorno George, who gave her away. Her gown was of honey coloured satin backed moire fashioned on classical lines. A "collar" of tiny waxed lilies clustered round the shoulders and from the slim fitting sleeves tlio cuffs turned up to form more lilies. From the slim fitting hipline the skirt swept out into a very full circular train which was with tarlatan tulle frills. The veil, which consisted of masses of tulle, was caught to the head by a headdress of .tjny lilies all naturally tinted. A sheaf of parchment beautifully shaped lilies was carried. The whole effect was one of charming simplicity on an entirely new and original note.

The bride was followed by a retinue of attendants in cowslip yellow. The bridesmaids were Miss Lesley Waller, sister of the bride, and Miss Barbara Thorne George. Their frocks were Bliirred at the waist, forming full misty skirts, slightly trained. Grecian was the effect of the soft neckline drapes which continued round to the back. The sleeves were small folds over tlio shoulders. A twist of the same material standing high at the front and going off at the back was worn as headdress. Sheaves of beautiful plum blossom were carried. The two tiny maids in attendance, Misses Gillian Russell and Suzanne Colbeck, were also dressed in yellow, their ankle-length frocks having shirring on the yokes and at the hem of the full skirts. They also carried plum blossom, but in tiny posies. On their heads were large , , ! . .of yellow ribbon. Supporting the bridegroom was' Mr. Francis Brown Douglas as best man.

After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's mother, where masses of spring flowers were artistically used for decoration in the reception rooms. Mrs. Waller received her guests wearing a frock of beige georgette with brown furs and brown baku straw hat. She carried a posy of violets. Mrs. Brown Douglas was in a mole grey satin frock with ivory motifs and moleskin cape. Her hat was of nigger brown straw with feather trimming and she •carried sweet pens.
