ON 'CHANGE.
MORE BUSINESS DONE. AUSTRALIANS IMPROVE. There has been fair turnover on the Auckland Stock Exchange over the last 24 hours, and at this morning's call there was a better tone, particularly in Australian issues. Amongst Fiji mining scrip Lolomas, quoted yesterday from £1 15/ to £2 5/, moved up 5/ on both sides. Emperors, which were quoted yesterday, between £1 3/ and £1 7/6, had buyers up to £1 6/3, and sellers unaltered. Goldsbrough, Morts were firmer between £1 9/3 and £1 10/6. Buyers for Broken Hills, ex rights, moved up from £2 10/ to £2 12/6, and for the rights from 18/6 to £1. Bank and insurance shares were again quiet. Buyers came in for South British, but with limits marked down to £4 11/9, sellers £4 13/6. Government stocks were in good demand, but sales made showed slight concessions on the part of holders. Mortgage Corporation Lower. Fair business was transacted during the morning and at the noon call a better tone was evident. An exception ivas provided in Mortgage Corporation shares, which followed the Southern trend and sold 3d lower, at 5/10, after which the market stood between 5/8 and 6/.
