AIR ROUTES IN BRITAIN.
GREAT FUTURE PREDICTED. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, September 19. The Under-Secretary for Air, Sir Philip Sassoon, in opening a new municipal aerodrome at Southend-on-Sea, said that, apart from any question of air communication with the Continent,: it was quite clear that there was a big j future for flying within Britain. It did j not require great imagination to look ■ forward to tlie time when, for any big city, a busy aerodrome would be almost as necessary as a railway station. However, co-ordination was as neces- | sary for air routes as for railways.'
