TRIALS AT ELLERSLIE. THIS MORNING'S WORK. After heavy rain yesterday and overnight the weather cleared before work commenced at Ellerslio this morning. However, a cold wind made matters rather unpleasant. No. 1 grass track, on which the poles were out 10ft, was available for fast work, but the going was on the heavy 5 side.

On Parade opened proceedings by running half a mile in Site. He was not uomg his best. Courthaven ran seven furlongs, covering the distance in 1.3S 2-5, while Teddy Hoy got to the end of six furlongs in 1.24. Red Flame ran live iurlongs iu 1.11 4-5, Express taking 1.16 3-5, the last three iu 42 4-ss. Rerepai and Zane Grey traversed four furlongs in 54 1-5.5, while Kelly was not doing Jiis best to complete the last six furlongs of his work in 1.22. Air Lassie and Tybalt jumped off at the seven-furlong post* the tormer finishing in front in 1.3S 2-5. The latter could nave done better. Gay Marigold covered live furlongs in 1.9 3-5, while Roman Mascot was given a useful working gallop over six furlongs. Enlightenment and Tidalia were on terms at the end of half a mile in 52 3-ss. Gay Broney, Te Broney and Barn Dance jumped away at the six-furlong poet, and after running the first three in 46 3-ss, came home together in 1.25 3-5. Fleetwind ran the last half-mile of her work in 52 l-ss. Psychologist covered seven furlongs in 1.35 2-5, the last six furlongs in 1.21 3-5. Vera Acre got to the end of six furlongs in 1.27 2-5, the last live in 1.11. Sir Romeo and Vilma completed live furlongs in 1.12 1-5. King March got to the end of a round in 2.10, the last three furlongs taking 45 4-ss. Gay Defence ran five furlongs in 1.9, while King Mestor completed four furlongs in 52 l-ss. Supreme Ruler traversed six furlongs in 1.24 3-5.- Catoma and Jewelled Girdle, after running their first half-mile in 55 l-ss, completed seven furlongs in 1.39 1-5; They finished together. Kiltowyn was sent one round, covering the distance iu 1.57 2-5, the last seven taking 1.35 3-5, and the final half-mile 54 3-ss. Vanners and Parkhurst got to tlie end of a similar journey in 2.12. Volition ran the last five of six furlongs in 1.14 2-5. Lady Diana completed four furlongs in 54 3-ss, Green Patch taking 57 4-ss, while Primak travereed three furlongs in 45 3-ss. Others to do useful work included Imamint, Etcetera, Prince Abb, Arinai court and Versant. The Jumpers. Glenhaupo gave a fan: exv hibitioni but Mountain Bruce was inclined to jum.'p high. * Lord Val (Craddock) and Delrain (Baker) were sent over four hurdles, giving a good exhibition.
