STILL A MEMBER OF UNION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday. Judgment for £100 for ■•"plaintiff and a declaration of continuing union membership was given by the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myere, in the Supreme Court to-day in the case in which Henry Edward Sexton, a steward, alleged wrongful expulsion from membership of the Federated Cooks and Stewards''■ Union, and claimed £400 from the union and its secretary, Edward Kennedy. Sexton alleged intimidation and inducement of a breach of contract. Tt was stated that the union's action was due to an alleged breach of the rules by plaintiff in signing off from the Maunganui at Sydney instead of at Wellington. His Honor held that as there was no award or industrial agreement in force between the union and the Employers' Federation at tho time of Sexton's alleged offence against a union rule he could not be expelled for a breach of 1 such award or agreement.
